I have no idea who this man is. And he had no idea who he laughingly struck a pose for either. It was the most random, unplanned moment ever but there’s no mistaking his candid lightheartedness.

I was trying to take a picture of the waterfall and he was taking his shoes and socks off in preparation to go wading in it. He stood, turned, saw me standing there and this photo was born. We didn’t even exchange a single word.

Where ever this man is, I wish him well. We were strangers and still are. But for that brief moment we had a connection. And it still makes me smile.
